Bamboo groves have been known to "sing" when the wind passes through. The wind blows across holes created by the rubbing action of cane against cane. It is believed that this is how the Native American Indians came to discover the beautiful sounds of bamboo. After 20 years in woodworking I have discovered the world of bamboo flutes and couldn't be more captivated. Each flute has its own unique character and voice and it is my pleasure to help that voice sing. Currently I am making five hole flutes of the Native American style in the keys of E F# and G. "I thought you would like to know, I showed one of the flutes you made for me to my friend Billy (Nammy award winning Native American flutist of the year). Billy is also an international flute judge. He was so impressed with your flute that I gave it to him. Keep up the good work, you are making a quality musical instrument." Wado, Dan Hollifield / Georgia Tribe of Eastern Cherokee
